History Orthez is a mediaeval capital with a rich historial heritage. The Pont Vieux (old bridge) spans the Pau river giving access to charming lanes. Whilst in the ancient city of Prince Fébus visit the Moncade Tower from the XIIIth century and the house of Jeanne d'Albret from the XVth century. |

Leisure and Nature In the village, tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sports gym. You can navigate under the arches of the Pont-Vieux with canoes. Fishing on the Pau river (French championships). 2 kms from Orthez, the leisure centre is a relaxing place for the whole family : games area, slides, pedalos, picnic area, bar, sports circuit, fishing, ... At Sauveterre de Béarn (25 km from Orthez), leisure centre and the possibility to do rafting. |

Festivities Not to be missed, the Féria of Orthez happens the last weekend of July with it's concerts in the lanes, it's processions, it's bars, it's landaises bulls and bullfighting... and funfair. |
